Getting to Boston by plane

The main port of arrival in the Greater Boston area is Logan International Airport (BOS), which is served by all major US airlines. From Logan, downtown Boston is easily reached by public transportation (see below), taxis, and private car services such as Uber or Lyft.

MBTA Public Transportation (The T)

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), or the “T”, operates an extensive network of subways, buses, commuter rail and ferry lines. From the Airport station on the T’s Blue Line subway route, you can easily reach downtown Boston from Logan Airport. Visit the MBTA web site for fare information, trip and route planners, and schedules.
