AI for Engineering Workshop/ID4 Meeting
AI for Engineering Workshop/ID4 meeting
May 13-14, 2026
Princeton University, Princeton, NJ
Overview: This workshop brings together leading researchers working across mechanics, materials, structures, and computation to explore emerging directions in architected matter, intelligent systems, and data-driven design. The program will highlight emerging approaches that integrate machine learning with theory, simulation, and advanced fabrication to accelerate exploration of complex design spaces and uncover new physical mechanisms. Through invited talks and focused discussions, the workshop will emphasize data-driven and physics-informed methodologies and identify opportunities for AI-enabled collaboration in next-generation functional materials and structural systems.
Participants: The workshop is open to participants at all levels (faculty, postdocs, graduate students).
Financial support: This workshop is supported by the NSF Institute for Data Driven Dynamical Design. There is no registration fee, and we anticipate being able to cover the majority of participant travel costs using NSF funding.
